Eligibility Criteria for IMB International PhD Program
In order to be eligible for the IMB International Ph.D. Program, applicants must meet all of the following criteria mentioned below:

- Eligible Countries: All World Countries
- Details of your degrees (BSc, MSc).
- Details of any other post-graduate degrees, awards, honors or distinctions .
- Details on research stay abroad during studies .
- Details of past research experiences.
- A list of your publications and your conference contributions .
- Please let us know which groups you would like to collaborate with. You can choose up to five groups. Please keep in mind that not all groups have projects available for every call.

Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could provide a motivational statement explaining your interest in the IPP and your chosen groups, along with your scientific objectives (maximum of 300 words).
You’ll need to provide the following documents as PDF files:
- Curriculum vitae (max size 3 MB).
- A single file (max size 4 MB) containing:
– University studies as far as completed.
– Certificate of English language proficiency(not mandatory, only if available).
– High school certificate (if available).
How to Apply for IMB International PhD Program?
Kindly adhere to the following important guidelines in order to be eligible for this scholarship opportunity:

To get started, kindly provide your contact information and include the details of at least two referees. The referees should be experienced scientists, like leaders of research groups or professors working at a university or research institute. It is important that these referees have a good understanding of your work and know you well.
- Online application form.
After completing your registration, you will promptly receive an email containing a personalized link to access your online application form. This link can be found towards the end of a detailed guide on how to apply. The application form will require you to furnish the necessary information and submit relevant documents.
To ensure a smooth process, it is highly recommended that you gather all the required details beforehand, as the form does not have a save function. You can then easily copy and paste the prepared text into the form as needed. The application must be completed in English.
- Interview days.
Around 25 to 30 students who have been selected will receive invitations to come to Mainz for interviews taking place from June 24th to June 26th, 2023. The interviews will span three days and involve various activities, including presentations by Group Leaders and the applicants themselves, as well as in-depth discussions within the groups that you may envision working with. The IPP will cover the expenses for accommodation and travel, including those for international journeys.
